Recording Graves & Headstones: Glin Historical Society in conjunction with West Limerick Resources will be recording graves and headstones in Glin over the coming weeks. Images of headstones and the details on the headstones will be recorded and preserved. If you would like further details please contact Tom Donovan on 086 1710136.

Outings & Events: A series of outings and events has been taking place and over the summer months we will be visiting ScatteryIsland, Askeaton and Rathkeale – details on the Gin Historical Society webpage at www.glin.info/history-heritage.  If you are interested in joining the group to visit ScatteryIsland please give your name to Rosemary Daly (0876296439 or rosemarydalyie@gmail.com) as soon as possible as places are limited.

We joined with Thomond Archaeological and Historical Society for a most enjoyable and informative day out in Ballyhahill on Sunday last.  Led by Gerard Curtin & Liam Irwin we visited Tenekilla and Ballyhahill village finishing the day with delightful treats courtesy of Kearneys Home Baking and a story by Daisy Kearney.
