Funeral Arrangements: The following are the funeral arrangements for the late Fr. Con Collins: Reposing in Daffy’s Funeral Home, Croom, on Saturday evening from 5.00p.m. to 7.00p.m. followed by removal to Patrickswell Church to arrive after the 7.00p.m. Mass.  Concelebrated Mass on Sunday at 2.00p.m. with burial afterwards in Croom cemetery.

Prayer Vigil at Knock: will take place on Saturday 4th May.  Schedule as follows: 1pm Rosary Procession, with scripture reflections & personal testimonies. 2pm Short Presentation, protecting the equal right to life of mothers and unborn children in Ireland today.  3pm Holy Mass with Celebrant Cardinal Seán Brady, Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, Homilist Most Rev. Brendan Leahy, Bishop of Limerick.

Listowel Community College: VTOS Open Information Morning on Thursday 9th May from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.  For adults wishing to return to Education, Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme is a second chance education programme for adults over 21 in receipt of social welfare payment.  Details regarding the course and eligibility for the course will be available on the day.  For further information please contact the school on 068-21023.

Pilates Class: starting on Wednesday 1st May at 7.00 p.m. in Glin Daycare Centre – 5 week class.  Clients must register to avoid disappointment.  For more information contact Nicola on 086 8140593.

Glin Library: will be closed next Thursday night the 2nd May.

Glin Historical Society: On Thursday evening next (April 25th) we will have our final meeting before the Summer break when we will plan our Summer Schedule. The following Sunday (April 28th) we will visit Ballyhahill with the Thomond Archaeological and Historical Society.  Again we will meet at Glin Church car park at 2 p.m.  Everybody welcome and new members are also more than welcome to attend.

Recruitment: Glin Red Cross are recruiting people who would be interested in getting involved in ambulance work – training will be provided. Also if you’re over 25 with a full, clean licence and interested in driving the ambulance we would be delighted to hear from you. For further details contact: 087 – 2324740.
