Tax Relief on your donations to the Parish Envelope Collections for the calendar year 2012: Tax Relief is available for donations, which amount to a total of not less than €250.00  (this threshold is set by the Revenue) for the year.  If you are a PAYE taxpayer the tax relief goes to the Parish.  If you are self-assessed you can claim the tax relief yourself.  It is important to note that the signature on the form coming back to Fr. Crawford should be:

> The signature of the person whose name is already inserted at the top of the form.

> The signature of the person whose income is from PAYE sources only.

> Be sure to include your PPS number

> Be sure you have ticked the appropriate tax bracket.

> Every form should be signed in the place designated for signature.

> This information is confidential to Fr. Crawford and used only for claiming tax refund from the revenue for the Church.

Self-Assessed taxpayers can themselves claim tax relief by passing their receipt on to the

revenue or accountant.  Please note that there is no contact at any stage between the Parish and the Revenue regarding your donation apart from submitting the claim form in the case of PAYE taxpayers who have agreed (by filling in the CHY2 Form) to take part in the scheme.  You will be receiving your CHY2 Form in the post during the week or you have already received it, and please submit it as soon as possible to Fr. Crawford or leave it in the box at the back of the Church (marked CHY2 Form).

Please note: all notices for the newsletter are to be placed in the locked black box in Paddy Hogan’s shop or email:glencorbry.ias@eircom.net by 12.00 noon on Thursday with name and contact details.
