Whist Drive: at Cloverfield every Tuesday night at 8.30 p.m.  All welcome.

 Glin Library, Dog Waste Clean-Up Campaign:The library had a visit recently from Eamon Dalton, Environmental Control Officer who covers the Glin area. He delivered some dog poopscoop bags which are free and available to all dog owners. Please call in and collect and help to keep the town clean and tidy. Thank you. 

“St. Mary’s Parish – Flood Relief Fund”:  A Fund in respect for the flood relief at St. Mary’s has been established. The Fund will be jointly administered by St. Mary’s Parish and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. St. Vincent de Paul has identified the provision of food and fuel, clothing, blankets and sheets as a priority at this time. The Diocese annually supports the work of St. Vincent de Paul and will further enhance it this year with an additional contribution from the Diocesan Limerick Social Service Council.  Donations by cheque payable to “St. Mary’s Parish – Flood Relief Fund” C/O St. Mary’s Parish, Athlunkard Street, Limerick.

Lisnagry Collection: which took place on the 15th and 16th February amounted to €515.28 – a special thanks to everyone who contributed.

Day Retreat: The annual day retreat to the Retreat Centre, Ardfert will take place on Sunday 2nd March.  Anybody wishing to attend the retreat can give their names to Sheila Culhane.

Keep Fit Classes: with Colm Hassett continue in Ceol Corbrai Community Hall on Monday mornings from 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. and Wednesday evenings from 8.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.  For further details telephone: 0851111617.

“Three Peak Challenge”: The Fitzgerald Family, Clonoughter are organising a “Three Peak Challenge” for April 2014 – climbing three peaks in Ireland in 24 hours – Carrantuohill in Kerry, Croagh Patrick in Mayo and Lugnaquilla in Wicklow.  Further details nearer the date.
