Ash Wednesday: Next Wednesday 5th March is Ash Wednesday – a day of fast & abstinence.  Ashes will be available at 10a.m. Mass.

Whist Drive: at Cloverfield every Tuesday night at 8.30 p.m. All welcome.

Church Gate Collection: Ballyguiltenane National School are holding their annual Church Gate Collection before Masses this weekend. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Glin Rovers: Congratulations to Siobhan Sweeney on winning first prize of a trip for two to Old Trafford to see Man Utd V Aston Villa on 29th March 2014 and to John Hogan Main St Glin on winning the second prize of €100 sponsored by Joe/Claire Wallace and to Michael Thornton of Ballyhahill who won the third prize of €75 sponsored by Maries Hair Salon in Glin.

Glin Library: will be closed next Tuesday morning.

Glin Library Local Authors: On display, in the library this month, is a collection of local books by local authors. Peg would appreciate being reminded of any local authors which she may not have included in the following list. So far she has books by the following. “Three Peak Challenge”: The Fitzgerald Family, Clonoughter are organising a “Three Peak Challenge” for April 2014 – climbing three peaks in Ireland in 24 hours – Carrantuohill in Kerry, Croagh Patrick in Mayo and Lugnaquilla in Wicklow. Sponsorship cards are now available from family members.
