Job Position: Application deadline for submission to become next postmaster or postmistress in Glin  are due by 24th September.  Details are available on front of post office.  Estimated closing date of existing post office is November 30th.  If nobody applies then the service is lost!  Everyone will miss Seamus’ helpful service over the years and wish him well in his retirement.

Winter Flu Vaccination Clinic: will be held at Glin Clinic on Friday 26th September between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30p.m.  No appointment is necessary.  The HSE strongly recommends the Winter Flu Vaccine for: Persons over 65 years of age: Those with a long-term health condition (Diabetes, Heart or Lung Disease): Carers: Anyone who is pregnant.

Commemoration: A plaque to commemorate the part played by six Limerick people in the 1914 importation of arms will be unveiled at 2p.m. the Sunday 21st September at Mount Trenchard Church of Ireland graveyard.  All are heartily welcome to attend.

Ceol Corbrai Classes: Tuesday at 7.00 p.m. Irish Dancing Classes with Bobby and Mary Kelly.  Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. Taekwondo with Sara Dillon.  Thursday at 10 a.m. to 12 noon Toddlers Playgroup.  Thursday 25th September at 6.00 p.m. Irish Music Classes with Willie Larkin.

Glin Baby & Toddler Group: every Thursday from 10am til 12noon in Coel Corbrai Community Hall, €3 per family refreshments provided for children and adults.  New and old members are very very welcome!

Glin Day Care Centre Open Days – October 2014:

Thursday 2nd October at 12.30 p.m.  The group attending are from Askeaton, Foynes, Shanagolden and Tarbert.  Music by Ger Conaghan.

Thursday 16th October at 12.30 p.m.  The group attending are from Glin, Athea, Ballylongford and Moyvane.  Music by Stevie Donegan.

Thursday 30th October at 12.30 p.m.  The group attending are from Askeaton, Foynes, Shanagolden and Tarbert.  Music by Stevie Donegan.

Clothing Collection: Thank you to all who sent in bags of clothes to our two Primary Schools for the clothes collection last Wednesday.
