U16 National Cup
GB Rovers 3 – 2 Mastergeeha

Our 16s team got back to winning ways last Saturday after a disappointing defeat away to NCW a few weeks back. We started the game brightly playing some fantastic football at times. We took the lead mid way through the first half with a great finish to the top corner from Jack Scannell after a corner from Karol. Shane pulled off a terrific save a few minutes later to keep our lead in tacked. We conceded a sloppy goal on the stroke of half time which left the half time score level at 1 each. Our boys started the 2nd half the same as they did in the 1st, plenty of heart. grit and determination was showed in all their performances. We took the lead again 20 minutes inti 2nd half with a screamer of a goal from 25 yards out. We taught we put the game to bed 10 minutes later as Sheagh hit a fantastic strike into the top corner. The visitors gave us a scare when they scored from a free in the last minute but thankfully the game was over straight from the tip off. A great performance overall and a fantastic result.
Training continues Wedensday eve at 6.45pm in Ballyhahill.
