ICA Meeting: at Cloverfield Centre on Friday 10th October at 7.30 p.m.

Glin Tidy Towns: thank you to all who supported the Tidy Towns Church Gate Collection last weekend.

Church:  After a visit to the Church in the first week of Sept. the Conservation Officer at Limerick City and Co. Council has stopped the work.  As it is a “Listed Building”  he is objecting to the  methodology  and  procedure we adopted. I had a meeting with him last Monday but made little progress. I have since employed an Architect to deal with the matter. There will be a site meeting in mid – Oct. Our hope is that difficulties will be sorted before then. This project began in April. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

The proposed upgrade of the heating system will not now go ahead this year.

The planning, which started last March, and the tender documents have been available since July , yet  the project could not start on schedule. This is very disappointing also.

I hope the present system will survive the winter months.
