Thank You: Betty and John Browne would like to thank sincerely all who supported us on the day of the fair in aid of Dialysis Unit – especially Liz Sheehy and Bridie Ahern who gave me so much help on that day.  €1,200 was donated to the Dialysis Unit, Regional Hospital.  Receipt on display in Church Notice Board.

Parish Dues/Priest’s Income – Thank You:  I take this opportunity to thank the families who contributed to the Christmas Dues Collection 2014 (321 Contributions).  I am grateful to all of you who have been more than generous over the years and especially this Christmas.  The average income for me over the past three years was €29,830.  The income for Parish Priests has been set by the Diocese at a minimum of €26,000.  I pay 40% of the excess into a Central Fund to help those priests who do not receive the minimum.  The Priest’s income is spread over 4 collections during the year and I record all contributions if they come in a numbered envelope just like the weekly parish envelopes.  This helps me to account for all your donations and claim a tax rebate where possible.  (I have, must this week, received the cheque from the Tax Office for the year 2013 which amounted to €11,281).  A sincere thanks to all who participated in this charitable donations scheme (Office of the Revenue Commissioners, Charity Claims Unit).  69 people returned the signed forms and the figure above represents the money reclaimed from their contributions to all Parish Church Collection for the year 2013.  Thank You, Fr. Tom Crawford.
