Eucharistic Ministers Meeting: will be held in the Church after 7.00 p.m. Mass tonight.

Glin Historical Society: will hold a local history lecture on Friday next the 27th February in Cloverfield Daycare Centre from 8.00 p.m.  Admission free.  Everyone welcome.

St. Fergus’ National School Parents Association: The children from St. Fergus National School are selling fresh shamrocks as part of a Parents Council Fund Raising Event for St. Patricks Day. Each shamrock costs €4 and the school retains €2 – The Shamrock comes with a Gold lapel plus pin. The children will hand deliver your beautiful shamrock on the 11th / 12th March in time for St. Patricks Day.  Shamrock must be kept in the fridge until you wish to wear.  The last day to purchase is Tuesday 24th Feb, payment is due when placing your order. Please support these little people if you can should they come knocking at your door!

Glin Baby & Toddler Group will be open on Thursday 26th Feb in Coel Corbrai Community Hall. €3 per family – refreshments for both adults and children. Everyone welcome

Church Gate Collection: on the 14th & 15th February was held for St. Vincents Centre, Lisnagry.  The amount raised came to €501.53.  Many thanks to everyone who contributed.

Day Retreat: The annual day retreat to the Retreat Centre in Ardfert is on Sunday 8th March.  Anyone who wishes to attend the retreat can give their names to Sheila Culhane.

Glin Library: New titles have arrived in Glin library, both fiction and non-fiction, adults and children. Feel free to call during opening hours as follows; Tuesday and Thursday 11 to 2 and 6 to 8. Wednesday and Friday 11 to 2 and 3 to 5. The library will be closed on Friday March 6th.  “Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Pub Quiz – Wallace’s Bar Saturday 28th Feb at 9pm sharp, Entry €5 per person.  Great raffle prizes on the night and cash prize for 1st place. All money raised goes to the Parents Council of Glin National School who fund raise for the school.  Hope to see you there.
Sunday walk. A walk is being held on Sunday 22nd February at 11 30 am, starting at Loughill resource centre. This is the third Sunday walk in a series of 10.  The first Sunday started with a 2km walk and working up to 10km walk. Proceeds will go to pieta house and Corbett suicide prevention patrol Limerick city. All are welcome.
Glin GAA Victory Social: will be held in the Listowel Arms Hotel, on Saturday 4th April.  Come along and join our County Champions for their well-deserved victory social. Tickets available for Glin GAA Players and Committee members.

Glin Red Cross: AGM will take place on Wednesday 25th February in Conways at 8 o clock. All welcome.

Irish Blood Transfusion Service: will be holding a blood donor clinic in Ceol Corbrai Hall on Tuesday 24th February from 6.00pm to 9.00pm.  3000 units of blood are required every week.  1000 people receive blood or a blood product every week.  1:4 of our population require blood at some point in their life.  3% only of our population give blood.  Our thanks for your support.

Ballyguiltenane National School: Enrolment forms for the coming school year 2015/2016 are now available from the school.  Telephone 068-34545.

Health & Fitness: Classes take place on Mondays from 8.00 to 9.00 p.m. in Ceol Corbrai Community Hall.  Price €8 pay as you go or €25 for 4 consecutive sessions.  Personal training €30 per hour or €100 for 4 sessions.  If interested, please call Colm on 0851111617.

Ceol Corbrai Classes: Tuesday at 7.00 p.m. Irish Dancing Classes with Bobby and Mary Kelly.  Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. Taekwondo with Sara Dillon.  Wednesday at 6.00 p.m. Irish Music Classes with Willie Larkin (please note the change in the day). Thursdays at 10 a.m. to 12 noon Toddlers Playgroup

The Parents Council of St. Fergus’ N.S Glin would like to thank everyone who supported the coffee morning & baked on Sunday 15th Feb.  We must thank Laura Enright for the entertainment on the morning – it gave a great atmosphere to the event.  Finally, we must say a big thank you to John & Maureen Barrett who let us host our coffee morning in Barrett’s Lounge – they were both fantastic and we genuinely appreciate all that they done for us. Our coffee morning raised a huge €741.02 and this will go a long way towards the numeracy and literacy fund that benefits our children attending St. Fergus N.S
