Glin Red Cross Defibrillator No: 0876230032

Glin Red Cross: Thanks to all who turned out for the recent AGM.   There was a good turnout, and a lot was discussed for the year ahead.  We now have 18 people on a rota for carrying the Defib Mobile and this is proving very successful.  Please be aware that the Mobile number for any cardiac emergency is 087 6230032.  We will be advertising shortly for upcoming Cardiac First Responder (CFR) courses.  We would like to raise awareness of the value of completing this course, and are appealing to our local clubs, schools and businesses to consider a participant from each sector for training in one of our CFR courses.  The cost is just E30 per person, which is a very competitive price, as a course of this standard normally costs in the region of E70 to E80.  The course is certified under the Red Cross and is valid for two years.  If you are interested in getting more information or want to sign up for a course, please contact Marie Fitzgerald 086 8691821 or Anne Horan on 087 9186556.  For anyone who has already trained and would like to put this knowledge into practice, we will be holding sessions in the near future, and a text will be sent out when a date is scheduled.

The Voice of Ireland-Battles: Finally, after a long wait, Laura Enright is delighted to announce that her Battle on the Voice of Ireland will be aired this Sunday 8th March on RTE1 @ 6.30.  Laura will be paired with one of the very talented singers on Bressies Team and will go head to head for a place in the Live Shows. Tune in this Sunday to see if she makes it through! Laura wishes to thank everyone for the continued support, it has been overwhelming and she hopes to do everybody proud on Sunday.
