Green Ribbon Walk: for mental health will take place on Sunday 17th May.  The walk will take place at the Knights Walk at 1.00 p.m., meeting at the Church Car Park at 12.45 p.m.  This is a free event and all are welcome.  Refreshments afterwards at the Heritage Centre.

Glin N.S Parents Association would like to thank everyone that pledged food and made donations to the First Holy Communion Party held at Ceol Corbrai Hall on Saturday 2nd May.  The afternoon was a huge success and we thoroughly thank the local parish for their continued support.   Congratulations to the 12 boys and 3 girls on their special day – May God forever love and guide them as they go along life’s way.

Glin Comhaltas: Irish night this Saturday night 9th of May in Wallace’s Bar Glin at 9.30pm.

The official opening of the Fleadh Cheoil 2015: Wednesday 17th of May at 9pm in Ceol Corbraí, Community Hall, Glin.

Glin library: will be closed from May 20th to June 3rd (inclusive) for annual holidays.

Team Limerick Clean Up:  on behalf of Team Limerick Clean-up, Glin Development would like to thank you for the tremendous support you gave to the Team Limerick Clean-up day on Good Friday. The number of registered volunteers exceeded all expectations and in recognition of this, JP McManus, sponsor of the campaign wishes to acknowledge everyone who participated in TLC through the creation of a commemorative book which will feature the name of each volunteer along with a selection of articles and images from the day. All volunteers will receive a copy of this production as a memento of the very first TLC ever to be staged in Limerick.  So don’t miss out on the opportunity to be included in the Team Limerick Clean-Up inaugural book!  Together we made history and it’s time to create the legacy.  If you have not already done so and you took part in the clean-up in Glin, please submit your full name, address and group by Wednesday next the 13th May at  A list has already been sent in of those who signed up on the day of the clean-up but if you did your clean up on an alternative day or an evening, your name may not have been submitted.

Whist Drive: every Tuesday night at Cloverfield starting at 8.30 p.m. All welcome.

St. Fergus’ National School: The girls 5-a-side soccer team from St. Fergus’ were crowned Munster Champions in Ennis on Tuesday28th April, after beating Clare in the semi-final and Tipperary in the final.  These terrific girls will now go on to represent Munster in the All-Ireland Finals of the competition in the hallowed ground of the game – The Aviva Stadium, in Dublin, on Thursday next 14th May. Many congratulations!  Dublin here we come!!

Glin Pioneer Total Abstinence Association: Fr. Crawford will present Jubilee Certificates to those parishioners who are celebrating 25 years and 50 years as Pioneers.  This ceremony will take place at 7.00 p.m. Mass on this Saturday night 9th May 2015.

Health & Fitness: Classes take place on Mondays from 8.00 to 9.00 p.m. in Ceol Corbrai Community Hall.  Price €8 pay as you go or €25 for 4 consecutive sessions.  Personal training €30 per hour or €100 for 4 sessions.  If interested, please call Colm on 0851111617.

Ceol Corbrai Classes: Tuesday at 7.00 p.m. Irish Dancing Classes with Bobby and Mary Kelly.  Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. Taekwondo with Sara Dillon.  Wednesday at 6.00 p.m. Irish Music Classes with Willie Larkin (please note the change in the day). Thursdays at 10 a.m. to 12 noon Toddlers Playgroup.
