Milford Care Centre: National Sunflower Days: takes place on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th June.  Funds raised from this event are in aid of Milford Hospice.  If anyone would like to volunteer on those days either in the local parish or in Limerick city, it would be greatly appreciated.  They can contact the Fundraising Department at Milford Hospice on 061-485860 or email:

Alzheimer’s Tea Morning: Thanks to everybody who contributed so generously to the tea morning at Ceol Corbrai on May 7th.  €334 was collected which has been forwarded to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

Irish Cancer Society: Because of your wonderful support we had a super response to our churchgate collection and together we raised €960. This will go a long way toward helping families and patients in our community and right across Ireland who are living with cancer.  So, again, many thanks for your help and enthusiastic support.

Glin Baby & Toddler Group are delighted to host a Barnardo’s Big Toddle Walk in the coming weeks. On Thursday 28th Toddle sponsor packs where given to the children.   Sponsor packs are still available and can be collected this Thursday morning between 10am and 12 noon. This year Barnardo’s have made it very easy to sponsor the Toddle Walk.  You can sponsor the individual child involved in the walk, or text the word TODDLE to 50300 to donate €4 or visit our fundraising page   and click on the large red button ‘Sponsor Us’   Any amount no matter how small is greatly appreciated.  See you all next week in Ceol Corbrai Hall from 10am

Saturday 30 May, Starting at 10.00am, Music, singing and dancing competitions in 13 venues.  Aifreann Traidiúnta 7.00pm.  Unveiling of Michael Meade Plaque

Sunday 31 May, Music and singing competitions in 13 venues, 11.00am.  Also Tin Whistle N.S. Bands performing in Square 3.00pm

Monday 1 June, Busking Competition on Street 7.30pm.  €300 in prize money.  Followed by impromptu sessions in Street and Pubs.

GIG RIG:  This Saturday night in the square: Mike Daly Athea wren boy band Matthew Reidy and Pa Foley

GIG RIG: This Sunday night in the square: John Brown and Co, Jerry Keogh, Glin Senior Musicians, Willie Larkin.

Health & Fitness: Classes take place on Mondays from 8.00 to 9.00 p.m. in Ceol Corbrai Community Hall.  Price €8 pay as you go or €25 for 4 consecutive sessions.  Personal training €30 per hour or €100 for 4 sessions.  If interested, please call Colm on 0851111617.

Ceol Corbrai Classes: Tuesday at 7.00 p.m. Irish Dancing Classes with Bobby and Mary Kelly.  Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. Taekwondo with Sara Dillon.  Wednesday at 6.00 p.m. Irish Music Classes with Willie Larkin (please note the change in the day). Thursdays at 10 a.m. to 12 noon Toddlers Playgroup.
