Tidy Towns Clean-up: Glin Development Association are organising a Clean-Up evening on Wednesday evening next 8th July at 7.30 p.m. as part of the national Tidy Towns competition for 2015.  Glin has also been shortlisted for the Limerick Going for Gold Community Challenge 2015 and judging by Limerick County council will take place over the summer months.  Limerick Going for Gold has a top prize of €10,000 with additional runner-up prizes as well.  We are hoping for a large group of volunteers on Wednesday evening to help with the clean-up.  All volunteers to meet at the Town Park at 7.30 p.m. for a 1 hour clean-up blitz and young and old are all welcome.

Pride of Place Community Work: It is great to see so many local residents taking the initiative and doing a clean-up outside their own houses and indeed along the street/road of their locality.  With a top prize of €10,000 by Limerick County Council, Going for Gold Community Challenge this year, we hope to see all members of the community making the effort to clean up their own area.  Glin has been going from strength to strength on the National Tidy Towns Competition and this year could prove to be even better if all members of the community would help to clean up their own area.
