Christmas Greetings: The people of the parish would like to wish Fr. Crawford and Fr. Madigan a happy and holy Christmas and a peaceful new year.

Glin Development Association: would like to extend their gratitude to all those who supported their annual fundraiser on Thursday last the 17th December.  The High Kings Concert which was held in the Church proved to be a tremendous success and the positive feedback from concert goers is wonderful to hear, how much they enjoyed the very talented group of musicians.  We would also like to say a big “Thank You” to Fr. Crawford for allowing us to hold the concert in the Church.  The Church looked absolutely amazing on the night and it was wonderful to see such a large gathering of people!

St. Fergus’ National School Parents Council: would like to thank all who supported their “Santa Grotto” in Ceol Corbrai.  €420 was raised on the day.  Also a huge thank you to John Hogan who kindly took the “Santa” photos and not to mention our wonderful Santa!

Glin Library is now happy to state that the system has been computerised and from now all customers will be getting their own library card with their own barcode. This card will have to be produced every time you check out a book and one will receive a text message frequently to remind one to return the books. This puts the library on a par with all the bigger libraries in the county.  The library closes at 2pm on Wednesday 23rd. It is open on Tuesday 29th from 11 to 2. Open on Wednesday 30th from 11 to 2 and 3 to 5. Open on New year’s Eve from 11 to 2. After that it is back to normal on January 2nd. Happy Christmas to all readers .

Concern Church Gate Collection: will be held in Glin, Athea, Ballyhahill and Loughill this weekend, 19th and 20th December.  The students, staff and parents of Tarbert Comprehensive School will be collecting on behalf of Concern.  Your support and donations will be greatly appreciated.

Christmas Eve Children’s Mass:  Final rehearsal for the Childrens Eve Mass will take place on the 20th December.  For safety reasons and the smooth running of rehearsals we would ask parents/guardians to stay.

Music Classes in Ceol Corbrai: continue each Wednesday.  Beginners at 6.00 p.m.  Intermediate at 6.30 p.m. and advanced at 7.30 p.m.  Bodhrán classes at 7.00 p.m.  New members always welcome.

Clinic: Cllr. Francis Foley will hold an advice clinic in the Ceol Corbrai Hall in Glin on the 3rd Wednesday of each Month @ 8pm.
