Glin Baby & Toddler Group every Thursday morning from 10am to 12 noon in Ceol Corbrai Hall. (Term time only) Refreshments provided for adults and children. €3 per family. Everyone welcome.

Glin Day Care Centre: The open days for March are as follows: Wednesday 9th March the group attending are from Listowel and Rathkeale.  Thursday 24th March and the group attending will be Glin, Athea, Moyvane, Ballylongford and Shanagolden.  For further information please contact the office on 068 26033.

Glin Development Association: Following on from last Tuesday night’s meeting in Conway’s re 1916 Commemoration, the meeting which was scheduled for Tuesday night next has been changed to Wednesday night the 2nd March at 8.15pm.

Thank You: Katie Wallace would like to thank everybody who supported her Coffee Morning on Sunday in Barretts.  A big Thank You to all who supplied the food and who helped out on the day.  A total of €1,500 was raised.  Katie greatly appreciated the support she received from the local community.

First Confession: for the pupils receiving their First Holy Communion this year, will take place at 7pm on Wednesday next the 2nd March in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Glin.

Church Gate Collection: this weekend is for Ballyguiltenane National School funds.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

Day Retreat: the annual day retreat to the Retreat Centre Ardfert is on Sunday 13th March.  Anybody wishing to attend the retreat, please give the names to Sheila Culhane.

Tarbert Comprehensive Parents Association: are organising Bingo in Tarbert Comprehensive School gym on this Sunday 28th February at 2pm to fundraise for the purchase of equipment in the soon to be completed gym fitness suite.  Single books cost €10 and double books cost €15.  Your support for this worthy cause, even if you cannot attend, is greatly appreciated.  Tickets available at the school office or by phoning 087-6987745.

Ballyguiltenane National School: applications are now invited for enrolment for the school year 2016/2017 at Ballguiltenane National School.  Forms are available from the school office and Margaret’s Pre-School.

Glin Community Alert: applications are currently being taken for monitored security alarms for those aged 65 or older, living alone or with someone aged 65 or over.  Also anybody who would like to join Glin Text Alert, the cost is €10 per year.  Contact Garda Billy McElligott at Glin Garda Station or any member of the committee.

St. Fergus’ National School Enrolment:  Enrolment forms for the school year 2016/2017 are now available from the school office and from Margaret’s Pre-School.

Fleadh Cheoil Luimní: A coffee morning to raise funds for this year’s Fleadh will be held in O’Shaughnessys on Sunday 6th March after 11.00 a.m. Mass.  Please support.

Fashion Show: Abha Bhan parish park Loughill/Ballyhahill presents a Spring /summer fashion show on Friday 11th March at Ceol Corbrai community hall Glin.  The evening will start at 7pm with a cheese and wine reception with food tastings from local producers.  The reception will also include display stand and gifts for all attending on the night. The fashion show will show case from local boutiques and designers.   At the interval, light refreshments will be served, fabulous prize for best dressed lady on the night and a raffle will take place.  Tickets are €15 and are now on sale from committee members, Paddy Hogan, Paddy O Rourke and Brides Boutique or 0877539926.
