Glin GAA club will be holding a fundraising table quiz this Friday, April 1st in Geoghegan’s Magpie Bar. There will a raffle and spot prizes also so it promises to be an entertaining night and all support is greatly appreciated.
The intermediate team are due to play Fr. Casey’s in the County League this weekend in Glin. Many will remember the great contests between ourselves and the Fealesiders down through the years and with both sides eager for promotion, this should be an very entertaining encounter. As the game is on in Glin and admission is free, we would really appreciate the support against our West Limerick rivals. The date and time will be posted on the Glin GAA Facebook page when it is confirmed.
U12 Trip to Croke Park
Shannon Gaels (an amalgamation of the Glin GAA and Gerald Griffins GAA Bord na nÓg clubs) have been selected as one of three Limerick clubs to participate in a football blitz in Croke Park on March 31st. Twenty-seven of our U.12 boys and girls are eagerly looking forward to their big day out. There they will get to play football on the Croke Park pitch against teams from all over Munster. A tour of the Croke Park museum will also be included. This should be a magnificent day out, as our young footballers will never forget the privilege of gracing the hallowed Croke Park turf. Hopefully some of them will return to play there in future years in club or county colours!
Our intermediate side came from four points down snatch a draw away to Cappamore last Saturday in the County League.
Glin GAA club would like to thank all those who contributed to the Limerick GAA Development draw for the year. The first draw takes place in March and then every month after that until the end of the year. As funds raised by this draw are returned to participating clubs, we really appreciate all the members of our community who’ve signed up.
Membership for the 2016 season is now being collected and if you would like to become a member of the Glin GAA, contact any club officer or member.
