National Collection: Due to the particularly grave situation facing the Ukrainian people, the Holy Father has wished to draw the attention of the Faithful to the tragic consequences of the ongoing conflict, overlooked by many. For this reason there is going to be a special collection in all Catholic parishes in Europe to provide humanitarian assistance to people in Ukraine. The collection in Ireland will take place on the weekend of the 28th/29th May. The proceeds of this collection will be joined to a substantial offering to be made by His Holiness as a sign of his own participation in this collection.
