World Meeting of Families: Pope Francis has personally chosen Dublin to be the host diocese for the World Meeting of Families from 21st to 26th August 2018.  Planning for this great national and international celebration of faith is well underway.  Hosting this important event requires an enormous amount of planning and funding.  In this regard a second national collection will be held next weekend the 1st & 2nd April 2017.  Your support for this collection would be greatly appreciated.

Glin ICA: and the Milford Hospice Fundraising Committee, wish to thank all those who contributed so generously to their recent Church Gate Collection.  The amount collected was €1,400, a great tribute to their generosity.  Many thanks again and a special thanks to the collectors.

Glin Men’s Shed: will hold a public meeting on Thursday next the 30th March at 8.00 p.m. in Cloverfield Daycare Centre.  All men interested in this project are asked to attend the meeting – this is a very good project and would be great for the people of Glin and the surrounding area.

Mackey Stand Draw:  Club members are promoting the Mackey Stand Draw i.e. Club Limerick Draw 2017 at present so your support is greatly appreciated.  Thank you to all those who support this draw every year.

Introduction to Meditation & Mindfulness: New 8 Week Course for Beginners in

Cloverfield Daycare Centre, Glin starting Monday 27th March 6.30-8.00pm.  Run by a qualified Gestalt psychotherapist/counsellor and experienced Group Facilitator who has been practicing mindfulness techniques for over 35 years.  Phone Ali Burnard on 087 6452227 for details and booking. Group size limited to 9. Cost €100.

Enrolment Ceremony: for the children from both Primary Schools making their First Holy Communion in April, will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Glin on this Sunday 26th March at 11.00 a.m. Mass.

Glin Knitting Classes: Every Wednesday at 1.30 pm in Cloverfield Day Centre.  Refreshments provided.  No cover charge.  All welcome.

Primary School Enrolment Forms: are now available for the school year 2017/2018 from our two local Primary Schools.

Coffee Morning: St Fergus NS Parents Association would like to extend a warm welcome to members of the parish to attend our coffee morning on Sunday, April 2nd at Barretts Lounge after 11 am mass.  As always the Parents Association sincerely thank the parish over the years for their continued support in making these mornings a huge success.  Please spread the word amongst your family & friends and make sure to call for a cuppa and slice of cake!  An Easter raffle will also take place on the day.  Thanking you in advance.

Ballyguiltenane National School: Congratulations to the 5-a-side soccer team who won the Section A qualifiers of the Spar 5-a-side soccer in Corbally last Monday.  They will now go on to compete in the County qualifiers.  Dates to be confirmed.

Congratulations: to Maurice Fitzgerald, Adam O’Connor, Cian Hogan, Tadhg Daly & Anna Daly of St. Fergus’ National School who recently won Silver in the Primary School Quiz Community Games County Final in The Woodlands Hotel, Adare – well done to all!

Glin Knights: Glin Knights Cycling Club are starting up a new cycling group to encourage people to start or take up cycling again. We will begin Sunday morning meeting at Adams Garage at 8:30 am.  All grades of cyclists are asked to give it a go and won’t be left on their own.  It can only be good for you!  Normal Sunday spin at 8.30 a.m.  Meet at Adams garage.  All welcome.

Dance Class: Irish dance classes with Johnny Cronin have resumed in Ceol Community Hall from 4pm on Tuesdays.

Glin Baby & Toddler Group:  Make sure to call in for a cup of tea or a coffee on a Thursday morning.  Our toddler group is a great opportunity to meet other parents, have a chat while the little ones play in a safe environment.  We would love to see some new face so please parents/caregivers call in from 10am to 12 noon. Open every Thursday during term time.  10am to 12 noon.  Refreshments provided.  €3 per family.
