Glin Tidy Towns – Spring/Summer Initiative.

HELLO HELLO HELLO GLIN TIDY TOWNS HELLO HELLO HELLO

The fine weather 🌞🌞🌞🌞brings us all out of hibernation and it’s a great time to stroll around Glin, enjoy the Town Park, take a brave swim or do the Knights Walk and Heritage trails.

Glin is looking a bit tired after the winter months and now is the time to spruce it up again!

With this in mind, and hopefully with help from the residents and business people of Glin, in conjunction with the Tidy Towns, we can get Glin looking in top form.

This year we are looking for help! We are hoping that every resident/business owner will take on an area outside and adjacent to their own property i.e. If you live next to a derelict or unlived in property you might give it the necessary weeding and brushing and pick up any litter. It’s as simple as that! We know the people of Glin take great pride in their homes and businesses and I’m sure everyone will get involved. If indeed you see an area that needs attention and is in need of a good clean up, or that could be improved with painting or some planting, please contact any of the names below and the necessary funding will be allocated if the idea is viable.

Tidy Towns Group will be making contact with residents from the different streets, estates, etc with a view to getting this initiative up and active!

Glin Tidy Towns would like to extend a huge thank you to the workmen on the Rural Social Scheme (RSS) and the TUS work placement schemes. They continue to do tremendous work on an ongoing basis. We would also again like to acknowledge Willie Wall who gives voluntarily of his time to keep our Square and many other streets spotless.

Please contact JohnAnthony Culhane, Marie Fitzgerald, Marie Geoghegan or any member of Glin Development and Tidy Towns if you have a project in mind.
