Peg is taking holidays from May 6 to end of the month. Arrangements have been made for the library to be open every Wednesday between 10 and 2 pm and all day on Fridays (10 to 1 and 2 to 5) while she is gone. Staff from Abbeyfeale library will be on duty during these days. It will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please ensure that you visit the library during these days and help to keep it alive 🙂 More reminders later in the month.
In the meantime there will be a Story Hour from 9.30 to 10.30 on Wednesday April 26 for little ones. Welcome to all interested. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
It is intended to have a poetry hour on Thursday April 27 – National Poetry Day – between 1 and 2 pm for any poets who would like to come in and read their own or another’s poems. Poetry has the power to connect. Words matter: they can build bridges or burn them down. Poetry has the power to connect friends, lovers and family. It has the power to help us look inward and understand ourselves, and the power to transport us across borders and through frontiers. It connects us with our memories and springboards us to our future. So feel free to come along for an hour of fun.
