Glin Bord na nÓg

Our young boys and girls have been practising and honing their football skills every Sunday morning over the last few weeks. Last Sunday, was their final session and Limerick senior footballer, Pádraig Scanlon, was on hand to make presentations to all the young boys and girls. Well done to all those involved in the organisation of the sessions, who made it a great success

Table Quiz

Glin GAA club would like to thank all those who supported our recent table quiz in the Captains. A great night was had by all.

Best Wishes

We would like to wish Jamie Fitzgerald well, as the Limerick minors footballers take on Waterford this Wednesday evening.

We would also like to wish club man Michael Sweeney all the best as he heads off to Canada for a while to seek his fortune. Take it easy on the maple syrup Mike!

County League

Galtee Gaels 0-10

Glin 0-13

We made the longest possible trip within county bounds last Saturday to play Galtee Gaels in the village of Kilbehenny. With some new faces on board for this campaign, we were delighted to emerge with a three point victory, ensuring the 200km+ round trip was not in vain. The were some good performances in all lines of the field, with Aiden Mulvihill, David O’Sullivan, Darren Sheahan and Joe Downey acquitting themselves very well. Credit is due to the Galtee Gaels club who provided us with food after the match, well appreciated before our long bus journey home.

Team: Joe Downey, Aiden Mulvihill, Johna Culhane, David O’Sullivan, Patrick Fitzgerald, Brian O’Donovan, Pádraig Costello, Pádraig Horan, Jack Fitzgerald (0-1), Shane Culhane (0-1), Darren Sheahan (0-2), Paul Sheahan (0-1), Gary Culhane, Ger Lyons (0-4), Pádraig Scanlon (0-4). Subs: Edmond Horan for P. Horan, Kieran Scanlon for D. O’Sullivan, Seán Horan for G. Culhane.

This Friday evening we entertain Buttevant in a challenge match in the field at 7.15.
