Poems and Stories in Glin Library

It has been a busy week in Glin Library. On Wednesday there was a Storytime session with the children from Ballyhahill Preschool who enjoyed listening to the stories which Peg read. They also like the “Imagination” story and were very attentive. Afterwards they drew pictures of what they “saw” in their imagination. It was a lovely morning for both the children and their parents/guardians. Thanks to Sharon for organising that they attend.

On Thursday a small but passionate group of poetry lovers attended the Lunchtime Recitation hour to celebrate National Poetry Ireland Day. Recitations and poems were recited and read and there was great pleasure in exchanging thoughts about the love of poetry. Thanks to those who attended.

Peg is going on holidays on May 5th to June 6th. Ann and Mike from Abbeyfeale will open the library on Wednesdays from 10 to 2 pm and on Fridays from 10 to 1 and 2 to 5. So nobody will be left without a book.
