Glin Tidy Towns – clean up continues.

We had a great turnout on Saturday morning. Everyone is busy maintaining all the hard work that has been completed to date. Areas that have been targeted include the Ballyguiltenane approach road, the path by the National School, the garden at the trail head, the Town Park, cleaning under the old bridge, litter picking the Coast Road. Whether it’s weeding, brushing, picking up litter, cutting back briars, watering plants, painting and general maintaining, there is always something to be done. Our volunteers are keeping everything in check! The entrance to the Glin football field is our next target and hopefully the Gaa members will give a hand next Saturday morning to do a blitz of weeding here. Thanks to John Anthony and Teresa Culhane, Breda Henderson, Margaret Mulcahy, Sheila Culhane, Maureen Stack, Bridget Lacy, Phil Giles, Estelle O’Driscoll, Marie Geoghegan, Mary Sheahan, Siobhan Moloney and Mairead Sheahan, Lisa Moloney and her friend,Joe Martin, Eoghan Ryan, Rachel Mulvihill, Helen Fitzgerald and Marie Fitzgerald . Please remember to pick up litter as you go. It’s great to see the fabulous weather and people out enjoying themselves, the only downside being that a lot of litter is unfortunately left behind by some. Please keep Glin litter free.
