Glin ICA: The monthly meeting of Glin I.C.A. will be held on Friday 9th February at 7.30 p.m. in Cloverfield Day Care Centre New members are welcome.
Irish Blood Transfusion Service: will be holding a blood donor clinic in the Community Centre, Foynes on Monday next the 5th February from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. 3,000 units of blood are required every week. 1,000 people receive blood or a blood product every week. 1:4 of our population require blood at some point in their life.
Cois Sionna Credit Union Glin Office: IMPORTANT NOTICE: From 12noon on Friday last the 2nd February 2018 to Friday 16th February inclusive, the Glin Branch of Cois Sionna Credit Union Ltd., will be closed for business due to the refurbishment of the office. To facilitate members the Tarbert branch will be open as follows: Monday to Thursday from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. & 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon & 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. (from Monday 5th February to Friday 16th February only). Members can use the main Askeaton office or any of the branch offices to transact their business during this time. The Glin Office will re-open as usual for business on Monday 19th February 2018. Apologies for any inconvenience caused during this time.

CARE BRIGHT HEALTHCARE INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME: starts on Monday, February 26 in Newcastle West. The internship will run for a 5 week period and will include QQ1 L5 Care Skills, Manual Handling, CPR and Work Experience in the community. Glin Mens Shed: is open to members and visitors on Mondays and Thursdays at St Paul’s Heritage Centre Glin from 7.30pm
Glin Baby & Toddler Group: meets every Thursday in Ceol Corbraí Hall from 10am. This group is a great way to introduce your child to a pre-school environment, teaching them to play and share with other children and a fantastic way for parents to make new friends as well. New members are always welcome. Entry costs €3 per family and refreshments are provided for adults and children. Up to date information available on Facebook using the search feature and typing GlinBabyToddlerGroup or by using Google.
Glin Tidy Towns: will be starting litter picking as soon as the weather allows. All volunteers welcome.
Clothing Collection: Thank you to all who supported the clothing collection for both our Primary Schools last Friday.
Free Computer Training: Iolar Training is running some free “Digital Skills for Citizens” computer and internet training courses in Newcastle West beginning on February, 19 and 20. The courses are open to everyone and will run for two hours per week for five weeks. Training is aimed at beginners and new users and gives participants the knowledge, skills and confidence to use the internet. Last year, almost 500 Limerick city and county residents completed our free Digital Skills for Citizens courses going from learning how to switch on a computer to booking flights and making video calls. The core topics covered include: Safety & security, using email, using search engines and websites, accessing government services online, conducting everyday transactions, using apps, voice and video calls online. Optional modules include: Online shopping, online banking and security, social media and lots more. Training is free for all participants. An Eircode (postcode) is required to register. Irish Dance Classes with Johnny: have resumed. Monday: Tarbert at 7pm, Tuesday: Glin beginners at 4pm-4.45pm all others at 4.45pm-6pm, Wednesday: Moyvane at 7pm. Thursday adult class in Tarbert at 7.30pm, Friday Knocknagoshel at 6pm/7pm/8pm and Saturday in Moyvane at 10am.
