Volunteers: A BIG THANK YOU to all who turned up to clean the Church last Wednesday. It was very uplifting to see so many people of all ages, men and women. Thanks to the people who brought their own hoovers, feather dusters to reach the high places etc. The whole Church was polished from top to bottom in little more than an hour. Many hands make light work!
Blood Donation Clinic: in Ceol Corbraí Community Hall on Thursday 20th December from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. 1 in 4 need blood BUT only 3% give blood. Visit giveblood.ie to take our donor eligibility quiz. We hope to see you at the blood donation clinic on the 20th!
Glin Library: There is a lovely exhibition of paintings in Glin library for the month of December by the artist Emma O’Connor/Bray. All items are for sale. Prints of her paintings are available also as well as some lovely blank greeting cards. Come in and have a look.
Glin Post Office: The deadline for sending letters & parcels to Britain is December 18th. Postal boxes, padded mailing bags & envelopes & Greetings from Glin Christmas cards available at the post office.
Glin baby & toddler group: Thursday morning from 10am to noon. €3 per family. Refreshments provided for adults and children. We look forward to seeing you.
Christmas in Glin: Please join us on this Sunday, December 16 for a Christmas experience not to be missed. This will be the 2nd year that this event will take place. We are celebrating all that is great about a traditional Irish Christmas. We have Wrenboys from far and near competing for the prize of being crowned Best Wrenboys of Glin 2018. With Christmas music playing throughout the day, a unique market bursting with local produce, hot drinks and tasty street food, there is also free kids entertainment such as Ger’s mobile pet farm, the world’s tallest elf and face painting. All this plus much more, it will be a day, evening and night not to be missed. If anyone is interested in setting up a stall up for our market please contact through private message on Wallace’s Bar Facebook page or call in to the bar. (Please note ‘Old Fair Day’ and ‘Christmas in Glin’ are different events).
