Reflection: Like a Watered Garden

There is such satisfaction

In seeing a garden thrive and flourish,

Well watered and nourished

Each flower a wondrous design,

And all together a symphony of colours

And a harmony of fragrances,

A blending of beauty, a joyous splendour.

Yet how more, Lord, do we give you joy

When we thrive and flourish

In harmony with you!

For like a well-watered garden,

Whose waters never fail,

So we are nourished by your love,

A love that never fails.

Lord, pour gifts of your love upon me

As you pour down rain on the earth!

Shine your goodness and warmth into my heart,

As the sun shines down to give life!

Lord, give me all that I need

To grow in love of you. Amen
