Team Limerick Clean Up – Good Friday – 10 am – Glin Library. Glin will be heading out on Good Friday morning to take part in the annual cleanup sponsored by the JP McManus Benevolent Fund. The event has seen over 360 tonnes of litter gathered from the streets by volunteers and event partner Mr. Binman since inception in 2015. Overall participation figures have passed the 60,000-mark and included over 550 volunteer groups from every town in Limerick last year……Are you in?  Bags and gloves and vis vests will be available to collect from Peg at the Library in advance, and outside the Library on Good Friday morning, beginning at 10 am. Please, if you have a litter picker, bring it along or give it to a neighbour if you are not available to help on Good Friday. All rubbish collected can then be brought back to the Library yard for Collection later by Mr Binman.

It is an obligation to us all to be litter aware and to report any sightings of rubbish and fly tipping. We are all volunteers doing the best we can to keep Glin litter free, to take pride in our beautiful town, and to shame the litter louts who think it is acceptable to dump rubbish on our roads and so casually throw litter from their cars and trucks.  CHILDREN must be accompanied by adults for safety and kept to quieter roads/areas.   Hoping for a good turnout from our community on Good Friday….YOUR PATCH, YOUR PRIDE.

Glin Tennis.  New season, new net….Glin Tennis court now open….
