Eucharistic Adoration: A Presenter from the Diocesan Eucharistic Adoration Committee for Limerick will give a talk at both Masses on the weekend of 18/19th May. All are most welcome.
First Holy Communion: Congratulations to the pupils of both Primary Schools in the parish who received their First Holy Communion on Saturday.
Glin Baby & Toddler Group: The group continues every Friday morning in Ceol Corbrai Hall during term time. €3 per family and refreshments for both adults and children are provided. In recent weeks new toys have been purchased, please come along and see for yourself!!
Glin GAA: are holding a bucket collection at Whit Weekend with proceeds of same being divided between the GAA and St. Fergus’ National School Parking/Set Down Area Fund. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Glin Tennis: New season, new net – Glin Tennis court is now open! Very reasonable rates for the year: Family €40, Adult €20, Student €10. Contact Marie at 086 8691821. All welcome.
Glin Tidy Towns – weekly clean-up: The longer evenings and fine weather has arrived and Tidy Towns will head out doing the weekly clean-up once more. Saturday mornings at 11 am and Wednesday evenings at 8pm for one hour. All are welcome and the meeting place is Glin Town Park near the tennis court. Please bring vis vest and any garden tools you have to hand. Looking forward to seeing some new faces.
Public Meeting: A public meeting will be held on Monday 13th May from 4pm to 7pm in the Library. This meeting will give people the opportunity to view and discuss the Limerick County Council’s proposed plans for Glin Square. See reverse side.
Glin Day Centre: are now currently delivering Meals on Wheels to the Loughill area. Anyone interested in availing of this service please contact Una on 068 26033 for further information.
GLIN CASTLE HOSTS THE RARE AND SPECIAL PLANT FAIR: on this Sunday, May 12 from 10am – 5pm. Adults €6 Kids free (U’12) The Rare and Special Plant Fair was established in 2001 with the assistance of Bord Bia, to ensure that the gardening public has an opportunity to purchase rare and difficult to source plants, while at the same time visit a garden of note that they may not otherwise visit. Over 40 stalls of rare and unusual plants. Expert advice from the growers. Food and refreshment stalls. Free plant creche and porter service available. Glin Castle tours available. Free car parking.
Fairy Trail Family Fun Day: takes place on next Sunday 19th May at 1pm in the Church car park at the entrance to the Knights Walk in Glin. Lots of Games, Fun and Light Refreshments. Prize for the Best Dressed Fairy and Knight.! Admission €5, please Support. Hope to see all ye fairies and knights on the day!
Children’s Summer Camps 2019: The Shannon Gaels Cúl Camp will take place in Gerald Griffins GAA pitch in Ballyhahill from Monday July 29th – Friday August 2nd. Book online at kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. Unruly behaviour: There are recent reports of unruly and unacceptable behaviour around our village over the bank holiday weekend. A second report was made of individuals lighting a fire on the Knights Walk over the weekend. Please be vigilant and report any unacceptable behaviour to our local Garda or Glin Development.
