Eucharistic Adoration: Many thanks to the 60+ people who filled in the Invitation cards at the weekend Masses of the 18’th/19’th May. This was an excellent response. We will begin Eucharistic Adoration on Friday 7th June at 10AM (after Mass) and finish at 9PM and continue every Friday after that until further notice. Appointment cards will be sent out over the next few days to each individual adorer showing your allocated hour. There will also be an inaugural Mass to formally launch Adoration in the parish on Saturday 8th June @ 7PM, Mass will be followed by Benediction and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament until 8PM. All Eucharistic adorers and family members are invited to attend.

Thank You: Fr. Crawford wishes to extend a big Thank You to those who contributed to the Easter Dues which amounted to €7,500.

St. Fergus’ National School: Volunteers will be calling to homes from Monday next the 27th May as part of our door to door fundraising collection for the school car park/set down area.  A receipt will be issued should you wish to make a donation at that time.  Alternatively you can drop your donation into the school office.  Thanking you for your support.

Glin Fairy Trail Family Fun Day: well done to all the committee members who on Sunday last provided a fun filled day with magic and make believe that many little fairies and knights will remember for many years to come. 

Glin Going Strong Club: will be held in Ceol Corbrai on Monday 27th May at 2.00 p.m.

GAA U10S: Well done to the U10s who Sunday last played in their 1st blitz of the year. They played St. Kierans in the 1st match and after a great battle lost out by the narrowest of margins. They then played Athea in the 2nd game which was a tight 1st half but they really got into their stride in the 2nd half and won well. They played very well overall and with some more training can improve! Well done to all the players.

Conor Sheahan League: The much anticipated league kicked off last Sunday evening at 6pm in Glin Rovers pitch.  It was lovely to see so many excited children’s faces from juniors right threw to 6th class all eager to take part.  Times and dates vary from week to week so please check on Glin Community News for up to date info. 

Books for sale: at Paddy Hogan’s shop. €2 each or 3 books for €5 and children’s books €1.  All proceeds in aid of Glin Men’s Shed.  Great value.

Glin Baby & Toddler Group: The schools are off on 31st May so there will be no group that Friday.  €3 entry and refreshments are provided.

Glin Tennis: New season, new net – Glin Tennis court is now open!  Very reasonable rates for the year: Family €40, Adult €20, Student €10.  Contact Marie at 086 8691821.  All welcome.

Glin Tidy Towns – weekly clean-up: The longer evenings and fine weather has arrived and Tidy Towns will head out doing the weekly clean-up once more. Saturday mornings at 11 am and Wednesday evenings at 8pm for one hour.  All are welcome and the meeting place is Glin Town Park near the tennis court.  Please bring vis vest and any garden tools you have to hand.  Looking forward to seeing some new faces.

Children’s Summer Camps 2019:  The Shannon Gaels Cúl Camp will take place in Gerald Griffins GAA pitch in Ballyhahill from Monday July 29th – Friday August 2nd. Book online at kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie.  Soccer Camp: The Fai Summer Soccer camp is now open.  Book early to avoid disappointment. Visit www.summersoccerschools.ie for dates and locations. 

Best Wishes: wishing Paul Horan the very best in his new business.  ‘Pawls Boarding Kennels and Grooming Studio’ officially opened in Ballycullhane on May 21st. Good luck Paul. 

New Group: The newly formed “Mothers & Others” Group is now in its second week of training.  New members always welcome at Ballyhahill GAA pitch.  Come along next Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8pm.
