Eucharistic Adoration: As a reminder, we will begin Eucharistic Adoration next Friday 7th June at 10AM (after Mass) and finish at 9PM and continue every Friday after that until further notice. The following are the main guidelines for Adoration.
- Please be faithful to your Holy Hour with Jesus
- Please sign the register or (√) tick where your name is when you arrive
- Spiritual books are available to help you
- On the odd occasion when you cannot keep your appointment, arrange for someone else to take your place
- Your Coordinator is available to help should any difficulties arise
The inaugural Mass scheduled for Saturday 8th June @ 7PM has been postponed, a new date will be communicated shortly.
Glin Library will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday 4th and 5th of June.
Glin Parish Pastoral Council – Golden Jubilee Celebration: Fr.
Tom Crawford will celebrate his Golden Jubilee in June 2019. To mark this
momentous occasion, Glin Parish Pastoral Council will host a celebration. Mass
will be celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Glin on Sunday
23rd June at 1pm (no 11 o’ clock mass). Afterwards there will be a light
buffet served in Ceol Corbraí Hall. There will be entertainment with music and
song from our local Glin talent. We
would like to extend a warm welcome to Fr. Crawford’s extended family and to
our Glin parishioners to attend the celebration and to help Fr. Crawford mark
this auspicious occasion. Thank you Fr.
Crawford for your 50 years of devoted service and commitment to the priesthood.
You have been a joyful witness to all.

forward to the celebration.
Glin GAA Bord n nOg Annual Sunday morning academy will start up this Sunday morning June 1st in the field at 10am for an hour. Boys/girls of ages up to U10 catered for and this will be a skills/fun based session. We will try run it off before school ends in June. The past few years have proved a great success for the academy. On the final morning all children will be given a club t-shirt and some refreshments. We will have t-shirts to try on for size for ordering purposes. Hope to see everyone on Sunday at 10am.
Glin Pier: Lifeguards are on duty at Glin Pier this weekend Friday, May 31 to Monday, June 2. Lifeguard times on duty: Friday approx 12.30pm until 7pm. Saturday approx 1.30pm -9pm. Sunday and Monday approx 2.30pm-10pm. Lifeguards are back on duty Monday, July 1 for the summer season. We thank Limerick Co. Council for providing this invaluable service.
Books for sale: at Paddy Hogan’s shop. €2 each or 3 books for €5 and children’s books €1. All proceeds in aid of Glin Men’s Shed. Great value.

U13 Limerick FC Academy: Well done to Cillian Mulvihill, Tom Healy and their team on winning 8 straight consecutive matches. The team are doing very well and constantly improving their talents with the help of manager Niall Connelly.
Congratulations to Miriam O’Connor, who won Silver for Limerick in Girls Under 11 at Community Games National Finals over the weekend. Well done Miriam, keep up the good work.
Glin Tidy Towns – weekly clean-up: The longer evenings and fine weather has arrived and Tidy Towns will head out doing the weekly clean-up once more. Saturday mornings at 11 am and Wednesday evenings at 8pm for one hour. All are welcome and the meeting place is Glin Town Park near the tennis court. Please bring vis vest and any garden tools you have to hand. Looking forward to seeing some new faces.
Children’s Summer Camps 2019: The Shannon Gaels Cúl Camp will take place in Gerald Griffins GAA pitch in Ballyhahill from Monday July 29th – Friday August 2nd. Book online at kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. Soccer Camp: The Fai Summer Soccer camp is now open. Book early to avoid disappointment. Visit www.summersoccerschools.ie for dates and locations.
Water Safety Classes: Water Safety classes will be held at Glin Pier Monday, July 8 for the week and also Monday, August 5 for the week. Full details will follow later. Take note and avail of these classes to ensure the service is provided each year.
