Glin Comhaltas Branch: The AGM of Glin Comhaltas Branch will be held on Monday next the 14th October at 8.00 p.m. in Ceol Corbraí Community Hall. Fáilte róimh cách.
Flu Vaccine Clinic: The HSEstrongly advise that all those at risk should get the flu vaccine. If you are; aged 65 years or over, pregnant, suffer from diabetes, asthma, heart disease or any long term illness you should get the flu vaccine. Patients only of Dr. Cassidy, Glin are invited to attend the clinic (no appointment necessary) on Tuesday, October 15 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Church Gate Collection: The collection for the Irish Epilepsy at the weekend amounted to €541.00. Thanks to all who contributed so generously and to the collectors who gave so willingly of their time.
Rosary on the Coast: The Rosary on the Coast for Faith, Life & Love will take place on Sunday 13th October 2019. The venue has been changed to the Parish Church, taking place at 3.00 p.m. The 13th October is the anniversary of Our Lady’s final appearance at Fatima, Portugal in 1917. During all the apparitions Our Lady continually requested the praying of the Rosary daily, to save mankind and the world. To confirm her requests God performed the Great Miracle of the Sun, which was witnessed by 70,000 – 100,000 people within 20-25 mile radius of Fatima.
Glin Community Games committee will hold their AGM on next Monday night Oct 14th at 9pm in Conways. All parents are invited to this very important meeting. As there are a number of committee members retiring this year, new people must now come forward otherwise the club will lapse and the children of our parish will lose opportunities to participate in the many and varied activities that the community games promote.
Clothing Collection: Many thanks to all those who supported the clothing collection for St. Fergus’ National School last Monday 7th October. Your support is greatly appreciated.
“Fashion & Diamonds”: Friday, October 25 at O’Regans Wine Bar, (Foynes Flying Boat Museum) will see a beautiful fashion show titled ‘Fashion & Diamonds’ take place. Tickets are €25 and includes fashion show, a choice of main courses and a glass of house wine.
