Glin Tidy Towns:  The Tidy Towns volunteers have started back on Wednesday evenings from 7pm.  There are lots of areas that need a good dose of TLC!  We meet at Glin Town Park and everyone is welcome to join us. Many hands make light work. Last week’s meet up accomplished so much in one hour!  The ICA Triangle got a good weeding, as did around the monument in the Town Park.  Catherine Murphy started painting all the lamp posts and bollards in the park. They are all getting a fresh coat of black paint and it is bringing them back to life. This is a work in progress and it will make a huge difference to the park when it is finished.  Thanks to all who help to keep Glin beautiful.

Congratulations: to Amy Powell and Shane Culhane on the birth of their twin boys, Harry and Jack.

Glin GAA: Split the Bucket takes place every second Monday night. Don’t miss out. Play now at

Glin Emmets LGFA: Underage training for the girls continues on Saturday morning at 9am to 10am at the Glin GAA pitch.  All children must be registered prior to attending.  For more info contact Maire Lyons

Glin lifeguards: The lifeguards at Glin Pier are on full time shifts until the end of the summer.  Please be respectful of the water, currents and tides and of course be respectful to our lifeguards, who year on year are just amazing.

Please note this weekend is the final newsletter for the summer.  It will be available again in September.
