I F C GLIN 1-5Pallasgreen 1-11It was a gallant effort from our lads last Friday week in Rathkeale. We were very competitive in the first half and it was only in the latter stages of the game that Pallasgreen pulled clear. Sheagh O’Connor finished his goal very well in the first half with Pádraig Scanlon, Brendan Flanagan and James Wallace the other scorers. Man of the Match for Glin was Aiden Mulvihill who gave a fine exhibition of tenacious corner back play, thwarting many of our opponents attacks. Though the result didn’t go our way, there were many fine passages of play where we broke through the Pallasgreen defence and created some good scoring opportunities. Junior BOur Junior B team were beaten on Monday evening by a very strong Knockaderry side. Great credit is due to our lads who battled throughout even though we were well outclassed on the night. Best for Glin were Pádraig Costello, Michael Stack and Killian Lenihan. Our final group game is against Ballingarry and is scheduled to be played this weekend.
