Congratulations to Cillian Mulvihill for scoring in the Republic of Ireland U16 side in the impressive Victory Shield success over Northern Ireland in Belfast on October 22nd. Cillian scored his first goal for his country in the opening half of the game. After an impressive week with Paul Osams U16 team, the following Monday he flew to Coventry with the U17 Cork FC team to take part in a tournament against Coventry City, AFC Bournemouth and Oxford United. Cillian’s winning penalty sealed the deal and Cork City claimed the ‘Sky Blue Cup’ title in Coventry. Cillian previously played with GB Rovers FC and had some fantastic years with the club and his incredible team mates, mainly when they claimed the U12 Division 1 League title.

Glin Church: For November, month of the souls, grave candles (limited supply) are available at Glin church. They are situated next to the candle offertory up by the altar. They cost €2.50 each and offering can be placed in the candle offertory box. A nice way to remember our dearly departed. Covid restrictions have lifted, however, we would ask everyone to continue with mask wearing and also sanitising hands on entering the church. Let’s stay safe together.
