Sacrament of Confirmation: Congratulations to the pupils of St. Fergus National School and Ballyguiltenane National School who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday. Our thanks to Fr. Curtin and Sacristan Michael who accommodated the schools with two ceremonies which had been organised before Covid restrictions were lifted.
First Holy Communion: will take place on Saturday 30th April 2022.
Moyvane Youth Club, 2021/22 Registration night will take place in Marian Hall, Moyvane from 7.30pm til 8.30pm, Monday 14th March 2022. Membership forms, including parental consent section must be completed on joining. Annual membership fee is only €5 per person due to the late start this year. Please note places are limited and preference will be given to previous members and/or siblings. Parents will need to help out when required and/or volunteer as leaders if numbers looking to register are high.
Please pass on to any other parents who may be interested.
St. Fergus National School: clothing collection will take place on Mon 4th April. Bags of clothes can be dropped off at the Glin GAA Clubhouse on the 8th March, 15th March and 22nd March from 9am to 12noon and on Thursday 31st March from 1pm to 3:30pm. Our thanks to Glin GAA for facilitating the collection. Please keep all your unwanted clothes for the collection. Thanking you for your continued support.
Church Gate Collection: thank you to everyone that gave so generously to the GB Rovers FC church gate collection last weekend. A total of €576.71 was collected from Glin Church, Ballyhahill Church and Loughill Church. Special thanks to those that made donations after the collection had finished. All donations will be put towards the running of the club including equipment for the children. Thank you.
Congratulations: Congratulations to GB Rover FC players Dylan Buckley and Honor Mulvihill. Both Dylan and Honor have been asked to attend the U13 Centre of Excellence for the remainder of the year. Dylan heads off to play with the U13 boys in Tralee and Honor heads to play with the U13 girls in UL, Limerick. This is a fantastic opportunity for both, and the club wishes you both the very best of luck.
Congratulations: to GB Rovers FC players; Jack Lonergan, Gavin Wallace, Jimmy Mullane, Harry Wallace and Dan Healy who were all selected to be part of the U11 Desmond League squad. Well done all, the club is thrilled to see so many picked from the club. Keep up the good work.

Glin Post Office: Banking at the post office: AIB customers can make cash lodgements, cash withdrawals and cheque lodgements. Bank of Ireland customers can avail of cash lodgements and cash withdrawals. Businesses that would like a cheque lodgements facility please contact the post office on 068-36100. Darkness into Light Tarbert: Save the Date – Saturday 7th May. Our neighbours in Tarbert are delighted to be part of the Darkness into Light (DIL) Walk for Pieta House, proudly sponsored by Electric Ireland, for 2022. Tarbert has been selected as one of eight (8) locations in Kerry and is the only new route approved by Pieta for this year in Ireland. The walk will take place at 4.15am and takes in the beautiful island road walk, a distance of 5kms. More details to follow in the coming weeks.
