Mayor of Limerick Cllr Daniel Butler
has planted a tree in Glin Town Park in recognition of the
efforts of the community during COVID. Trees have been planted
throughout the county, including Glin. LCCC Parks Team assisted with the choice of tree, Silver Birch, and in preparing the ground.

Glin Development would like to commend this action and thank Cllr Butler for the initiative. Glin Homes for the Elderly and Day Care must get special mention. The Meals on Wheels worked tirelessly during Covid, even when short staffed, and provided meals daily to the wider community. The elderly especially were grateful for this service, as in some cases, it was their only daily contact during Covid times!

Mayor Daniel Butler is a nephew of Denis Culhane, Killeaney, Glin.

Kilteery, Hospital, Murroe and Castleconnell were some of the other areas who also received recognition.
