Glin Development Association were delighted with the turnout for the Glin Castle Open Day on Sunday last.. The sun shone down on the castle and gardens for the entire day, and we could not have asked for more.

Glin Development would like to sincerely thank Madam Olda Fitzgerald and her daughter Catherine Fitzgerald for their generosity in allowing the Open Day event to take place. We would also like to thank Marie-Therese Costello, Manager of Glin Castle, and her staff for being so welcoming and professional on the day. Thanks also to all the tour guides who did a wonderful job in the house and also thanks to the guides who did the wonderful garden tours. There was a great take up for the Raffle on the day and again thanks to all the sponsors of the prizes. And last but by no means least, a huge thanks to the organisers of the event, the hard working volunteers of Glin Development and Tidy Towns, and The Men’s Shed. Without this hard working bunch, the day would not be possible. All proceeds from the day will go towards the maintenance and upkeep of existing projects in Glin town.
