The €10,000 will be won by someone who buys a ticket the week of the draw for the 18th March 2023. Our weekly general Lotto jackpot will then drop to €20,000 until it too is won. NOTE: The St. PATRICKs weekend €10,000 draw will take place providing our weekly Lotto of €30,000 is not won in the meantime. More details to follow.
Praying the Rosary: Most parishioners are aware that the Rosary is recited approx. half an hour, on most days before the Masses. In her messages, especially at Fatima, Medjugorje, and many other places, Our Lady has urged the faithful to pray the Rosary daily. St. Padre Pio has referred to it as the “Weapon of our Times”, so it would please the Blessed Virgin very much, if more people, especially children, took up her invitation, and joined the small Parish group in praying the Rosary. It is prayed for the conversion of Russia, Ireland, and the whole world, for the end of wars, protection from natural disasters, and that the promised, and, long-for reign of peace would soon be ushered in.
St. Fergus National School: Upcoming clothing collection on Monday 24th April – please keep any unwanted clothing, footwear etc for the collection. Further details nearer the date. Thank you to all who support this school fundraiser.
Glin GAA club proudly celebrates 125 years of existence this year. To mark this significant milestone, we are writing a book on the history of the club from 1898 to the present day. Many who have made valuable contributions to this period will have memories of their first involvement with the club, the fields around the parish they played in and will remember great teams and players. Perhaps also, people may have old newspaper clippings, photographs, match programmes and medals kept which would be of great interest to us in preparing this book and will allow us to best tell the story of Glin GAA over the past 125 years. Our book committee has begun the process of interviewing people and shortly, for those comfortable with technology, a questionnaire link will be sent around where interested individuals can make their own contributions. We will be holding an evening in Glin in the next while where old Glin GAA photographs, medals etc. can be brought in to be photographed and scanned, and the owners can share their stories relating to them. If anyone would like to be sent the questionnaire link or wishes to be interviewed, send an email with your details to glingaabook@gmail.com, contact us through our Facebook page www.facebook.com/glingaa, or contact James O’Donovan on 087 2311156 or Tom O’Donovan on 086 1710136.
Glin Baby & Toddler Group: See you all on Friday 24th from 10am in Ceol Corbrai Hall. Family contribution €3
The Club Limerick Draw (Mackey Stand) is now up and running for the coming year. The links on how to join are posted on our Glin GAA Facebook page. You can also ask any member of the club for advice or contact our Draw administrator Carmel Leahy on 087 2897310. You have the choice of buying a ticket for each monthly Draw individually or buying a yearly ticket with a discount. If you’re interested, the first Draw is on the end of March so entrants have to be in by the first week in March. The year part was the most successful ever in terms of Club winners. With Donnie Lyons winning €3000 in May, Dennis Woulfe winning €250 in June, Michael Dillane winning €100 in July, Mary Dunne and Michael Wallace winning €500 each in the December Draw. Hopefully we can keep this winning streak going this year. This is a great way to support our club and county in one draw with the main prize every month €10,000. All support is greatly appreciated.
