An Appeal from Glin Development & Tidy Towns: As Spring and Summer bring more people out to enjoy everything Glin has to offer, this is a busy and important time for keeping our village looking its best.
Glin is more than just where we live — it’s our shared home, our community, and something we can all take pride in. A clean and well-kept town reflects respect for one another and for our surroundings.
With the National Tidy Towns Competition judges visiting in the coming weeks, we have a great opportunity to showcase Glin at its very best.
We kindly ask everyone to play their part:
✅ Dispose of litter properly
Please use bins provided and avoid littering. If bins are full, take your rubbish home. Weekends can be especially busy around the square, so we ask businesses and residents nearby to help keep the area clean.
⚠️ Important: Public bins are not for household waste. This is currently being monitored.
✅ Maintain your area
Keep footpaths and shared spaces free from litter and weeds.
✅ Get involved
Support or join Glin Tidy Towns — every helping hand makes a difference!
✅ Dog owners
Please clean up after your dog. Leaving dog waste on footpaths is not acceptable.
✅ Lead by example
Encourage respect for our Town Park and Pier. Please leave these areas as you found them—or better. Bringing a spare bag in your car can help. Together, we can keep Glin clean, green, and welcoming for everyone — now and into the future. ♻️ Thank you all for your support
