On Saturday & Sunday 20th & 21st of December, all parishioners, and especially children, are invited to bring the baby Jesus figure from their home crib to be blessed at all of the masses in our unit. On returning home after the blessing, the blessed figurines should be ‘gift wrapped’, placed either under the tree, or in another suitable location. On Christmas Day it should be the first gift to be opened, helping the children to make the connection between the gifts they receive on Christmas Day and the greatest gift that any of us can receive, Jesus.

Ballyguiltenane National School – 150th Anniversary Commemorative Book
As Ballyguiltenane National School prepares to celebrate 150 years, we are compiling a commemorative book to mark this very special milestone.
We would be very grateful if past and present pupils, parents, staff, and members of the wider community could remind relatives and friends of the school when they meet over the Festive season that we are seeking photographs, memories, stories, or memorabilia from any period of the school’s history.
If you have anything you would be willing to share, photographs can be scanned and returned. Please send images or recollections to 083 150 3608 or email them to ballyguiltenanens150th@gmail.com. Your contributions will help preserve the rich history of Ballyguiltenane NS for future generations.
We would also like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful New Year. Our next meeting will take place on Tuesday, 20th of January 2026 at 8pm.
Thank you for your continued support.
