Limerick GAA panel for the 2025 season! Huge congratulations to two rising stars, Tadhg Costello and Jack Lonergan, on making the U14 Limerick GAA panel for the 2025 season! What a fantastic achievement—hard work and dedication have paid off. Keep pushing, and the sky is the limit!
Congratulations to Glin Grub – Kebab and Pizza of the Year 2025! A massive well done to Shakeel, Fatima, and the entire team at Glin Grub on winning Kebab of the Year and Pizza of the Year Awards at the Irish Takeaway Awards 2025 held in the Radisson Hotel Sligo.
GB Rovers FC News: Huge Congratulations to U15 & U16 player Dylan Ambrose who plays for Newcastle West RFC U16s, on being selected for the Munster Rugby Development Programme. Well done Dylan a very proud day for you and your family your Community and of course our club. Well done. Great news again, congratulations to the six boys from GB Rovers who have made the U14 Limerick GAA panel for 2025! Well done to Noah Daly, Tadhg Costello, William Delee, Jack Longeran, Jimmy Mullane, and Harry Wallace, your hard work and dedication have truly paid off. Whatever your parents are feeding ye, they better keep it up! Wishing you all the best for the season ahead—we have no doubt it’ll be a great one. Don’t forget your roots here at GB—we’ll be cheering you on.

Author Visit – Save the Date! Mark your calendars for a special literary event on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 20th, when Castleconnell author Karen Fitzgibbon visits Glin library. Her debut novel, The World’s End, is a gripping page-turner that keeps readers guessing, and with a new book on the horizon, there will be plenty to discuss. More details will be shared closer to the date.
Card Games: The Wednesday morning card games take place in Cloverfield Glin Homes at 10.30am. These gatherings for card games, chat, newspapers, tea, coffee and biscuits are a very enjoyable way to pass a Wednesday morning. Everyone is welcome to come along and there’s always room at the tables for anyone to join in at the card games. Or just sit and read the newspaper with a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit.
