Old Fair Day Glin: It’s that time of year again!!! Old Fair Day Saturday 2nd December in the Square. Please provide your own stall & coverings. All are welcome. The Craft Fair takes place in Ceol Corbrai Community Hall, table spaces are limited and are on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Congratulations to the 5th and 6th Class girls of St Fergus NS and their coach Mrs Mulroe on claiming the Cumann na mBunScol Senior West title against a tough Adare side on Wednesday 15th November in Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale. Captains: Honor Mulvihill and Méabh Dunne lead their team to a wonderful victory. It was great to see so many parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and siblings cheering from the side line. A huge thank you to the pupils & staff of St Fergus NS, who eagerly awaited their victorious team’s return and lined the school entrance to cheer them home with music blasting out from the background. Also, a massive thank you to Shakeel of Glin Grub, for sponsoring the girls football team banner and treating all pupils in 5th and 6th class to a Glin Grub voucher.
Glin Development: Collection tins are around the shops in the village. Any loose change you have, really would be appreciated. All money collected will go towards the new Christmas Tree and lights in the Square. Thanks in advance.
Estuary Rollers: The Estuary Rollers will be passing through Glin on Sunday Dec 3rd. If last year is anything to go buy, there will be bigger and brighter lights and even more tractors!! This is an amazing event for any small child to witness. Donations are much appreciated and can be made online www.gofund.me/5d390135 or on the night as collectors move through the crowd with collection buckets. Monies raised is in aid of The Nano Nagle School Listowel and Milford Hospice Limerick. Please support if you can.
Hayes Christmas Lights: A beautiful event that will light up any small child’s face is the Hayes Christmas Lights in Shanagolden, Eircode. V94 NC3F. This year’s charities are Milford Hospice Care, St Gabriel’s Foundation, Cliona’s Foundation and Mid-West Cancer foundation. A one-way system is in place, please go into Shanagolden and follow the road signs. Also, please wear a high vest jacket and bring a light as well for safety.
Glin Craft Club: continues every Wednesday in Glin Library at 10.30am.
Adult Group Singing Classes: The group will now meet every Tuesday in Glin Library 12 noon to 1pm.
Glin Tidy Towns: out on Saturday mornings from 11 to 12 noon. Weather plays a big factor in getting our jobs done so it’s great when home owners and businesses keep an eye on their patch.

Feed the Squirrels: Estelle has been busy on the Knights Walk cleaning out and topping up the feeders. This year, there is very little beech mast and acorns for them to feed on. If you would like to support the purchase of nuts and seeds, you can help by buying some cards which are in local shops. €2 each Thank you.

Loughill Park: It’s that time of year again. Our North Pole Post Box is back in the park for 2023. You can now post your letters direct to Santa so get writing them quick before his arrival at our Park on Saturday December 9th to switch on the tree.
