Sacrament of Confirmation: Pupils from St. Fergus National School will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday next the 7th March.

Church Gate Collection: GB Rovers FC have their annual Church Gate Collection today March 3rd in Glin and Ballyhahill. The club has many children attending from: Glin, Loughill, Ballyhahill, Tarbert, Moyvane and even Limerick City!! We are asking for parents and their son/daughters to help out for one hour. If you can help, please contact 087 3192449 with the location you can attend. Money collected goes towards ongoing costs of pitch fees and equipment.

Glin Emmett’s Registration is open: Please register before March 11th. Your child must be registered to play and train. Children starting Junior Infants this year are eligible to register. GB Rovers FC: we are back with an Easter Camp. Open to all ages U6 and up. You don’t have to be from the club to join the fun, children and visiting cousins from neighbouring villages and further afield are welcome to come along. Glin Rovers Astro Pitch: Thanks to all the clubs that have booked the astro in recent weeks. We are delighted with the response. Mark Fleming Memorial Charity, Cars and Coffee Meet: A cars and coffee meet will take place at the Ferry Car park, Tarbert on Sunday April 21st. EVERYONE is welcome to the event and there will be ample parking for spectators, with Tarbert Power Station allowing the use of their car park. All proceeds of this event will be for the SADS department in The Mater Hospital.
New business: Wishing Ronan Culhane the very best of luck with his new business venture ‘Tide Side Sauna’. The sauna is at Glin Pier and is a wonderful addition to the community.
Glin Baby and Toddler Group opens every Friday during school term from 10am in Ceol Corbrai Hall. Family contribution €3. We look forward to seeing everyone.
Glin Tidy Towns: We meet every Saturday morning at 11am (weather permitting). All welcome!
Lifeguards Wanted: Are you interested in working as a Beach Lifeguard? Clare, Fingal and Limerick are currently looking for lifeguards for the 2024 period. You will be responsible for performing rescues, administering first aid and the supervision of activities at the beach amongst other duties. Leisure Cycle taking place next Sunday 10th March. 2 routes, one for your beginners’ cyclists, while the other one is more challenging! Both routes have food stops! Registration can be done online on Cycle Ireland! We are fundraising for the Butterfly club in Rathkeale.

Activity at Glin Library: Craft Group. meets *fortnightly* (1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 10.30am. Open to all ages and abilities. Class is Free. Community Singing Group: meets every Tuesday from 11.30am. All welcome. Contribution box in place. Facilitated by Bernie Hayes, Askeaton/Ballysteen. The Book Group. meets monthly on the last Wednesday & Thursday of the month. (Feb dates 28th & 29th) All welcome. Class is Free. All events take place in Glin Library & everyone is welcome. A special word of ‘Thanks’ to our Librarian Deirdre who has a welcome for everyone & has encouraged all these events.
Congratulations: to Jack Lonergan who this afternoon won the Munster Championship Semi Final in Dungarven Co. Waterford. Next stop for Jack is the Munster final in 2 weeks time.
