Glin Defibrillator: Emergency Number 068 59590.  Please save the Glin defibrillator number to your mobile and/or near your landline. In the case of an emergency, call the number, give your location and a defibrillator will be brought to you by a trained responder. Please share with your family and friends within Glin.

Mass Cards: Signed Mass Cards for the deceased are available at Glin Church.  Please enquire from our Sacristan Michael after any of the Masses.

Glin Defib Church Gate Collection will take place this Sunday, 9th June, before 11am Mass.

All funds raised will go towards the cost of batteries and pads for the 10 defibs which are distributed throughout the parish. The defibs are maintained and monitored by members of the Glin Defib Group.

We thank you for any contribution no matter how small.

A reminder to keep the defib number 068 59590 close at hand or in your phone.

If you are interested in being trained in CFR and in the use of a defib, Glin Defib Group, will be running training courses in the autumn. Please contact Anne on (087) 918 6556 or Marie on 086 8691821.

St. Fergus National School Junior Infants Introductory Day: will be held on Wednesday next the 12th June at 1:10pm.

St. Fergus National School Cake Sale: Thank you to all who supported our cake/bake sale on Friday last, the 7th June.  Lovely to see such a crowd calling to the school to sample all the delicious homemade baking.

Ballyguiltenane National School: We are currently accepting enrolment for the coming academic year 2024-2025. Please contact the school office on 068-34545 or by mailing office@ballyguiltenanens.ie. The Enrolment Form is also available to download from our school’s website www.ballyguiltenanens.ie

Glin Knights Visitor Centre: The Glin Knights Visitor Centre reopens its doors for the summer, welcoming visitors from 10 am to 5 pm. Located on Lower Main Street in Glin, adjacent to Glin Library, entry is free for all. Come explore the rich history and legacy of the Knights of Glin – a delightful hour or so awaits you!

The Movers Exercise Programme: continues every Tuesday in Ceol Corbrai Hall. To book a spot call Darragh 089 4080925. Booking is essential. 

Youth Darts Practice: a weekly get together on Fridays from 8.30pm at Loughill Resource Centre – parents and children welcome.

The Ace of Hearts: Cloverfield Wednesday Mens Social Group. Tea, coffee, chat, newspapers and a game of cards.10:30am on Wednesday mornings. All welcome.

Save the Date. Sunday 14th July at 12 noon at Glin Pier. Glin Community Singing Group with Bernie Hayes are holding a fun afternoon of Song & Music to raise funds for Foynes Search & Rescue & the RNLI. More information nearer the date

Glin Tidy Towns: Our weekly Saturday morning clean ups still take place, meeting outside Glin Library at 11am. All welcome.

The annual Glin Swim pub quiz will be held in Geoghegans Magpie Bar on Friday 28th June, starting at 9.30 pm.  All funds raised on the night will go to the chosen charity, which this year is St. Gabriel’s Foundation Mungret, which caters for children with complex medical needs.

Dance Class: Join Ann Marie for her weekly dance classes at Cloverfield Day Centre, and now, don’t miss out on the opportunity to join her additional class at Ceol Corbrai every Wednesday evening!

Activity at Glin Library: Craft Group. meets *fortnightly* (1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 10.30am. Open to all ages and abilities. Class is Free. Community Singing Group: meets every Tuesday from 11.30am. All welcome. Contribution box in place. Facilitated by Bernie Hayes, Askeaton/Ballysteen. The Book Group. meets monthly on the last Wednesday & Thursday of the month. All welcome. Class is Free. All events take place in Glin Library & everyone is welcome. A special word of ‘Thanks’ to our Librarian Deirdre who has a welcome for everyone & has encouraged all these events.

Estuary Swim for St. Gabriel’s this Summer: Limerick based charity St. Gabriel’s Foundation is delighted to be the nominated charity of the Glin Estuary Swim this July. Swimmers will take on the mighty Shannon and swim from Coleman’s Castle, Labasheeda, Co. Clare to Glin Pier on Saturday July 13th. Swimmers can register their interest and get a sponsorship card from Swim Organiser Maria Geoghegan by emailing geoghegan.maria@yahoo.com.

Open Water Swim Programmes: Swim Ireland’s Open Water Programmes aim to build your confidence in the water, from wherever you are now, to wherever it is you dream of going on your open water journey.
