In the case of an emergency, call the number, give your location and a defibrillator will be brought to you by a trained responder. Please share with your family and friends within Glin.

St Fergus National School Christmas Nativity and Carol Service: will take place on Wednesday next the 4th December.  The Nativity at 12 o clock and the Carol Service at 7pm.  All welcome.
Craft Fair Old Fair Day: The Trustees of Ceol Corbrai Hall regret to announce that the annual Christmas Craft Fair, traditionally held on Old Fair Day, will not take place this year due to insurance issues. However, anyone wishing to join the traders in the Square is welcome to do so. You must provide your own table and coverings, and no payment is required.

Glin’s Christmas Lights: Join us for the annual Christmas Lights Switch-On celebration, happening on Monday, December 9th at 6:30 pm in Glin Square. Get into the festive spirit with a cup of mulled wine, musical entertainment from the Glin Community Choir, and charming carols sung by the children of St. Fergus and Ballyguiltenane NS. And guess what? Santa might just make a special visit! Though it’s a hectic time for him and his elves, he loves Glin and promised to do his best to stop by. He’s especially excited to see our brand-new Crib, beautifully crafted by the talented Glin Men’s Shed. He might even take some tips back to the North Pole! Mark your calendars and come along for a joyful evening of entertainment and Christmas cheer. We can’t wait to see you there!

Last Call: Glin Rovers F.C. is putting the finishing touches on their “Brick on the Wall” fundraiser, and there are only 6 bricks left to purchase! Once these are gone, the fundraiser will officially close. Purchasing a brick is not just a way to show your support for the club; it’s also a meaningful way to honour a loved one who has recently passed or you may prefer to have your family name, or a message of support on the brick. Each brick will become a permanent part of the club’s legacy, celebrating the community that makes Glin Rovers FC so special. Citizens Information Morning: Over 60s Rights & Entitlements, this was postponed last week and will now take place on 12th December at 1pm in Glin Library. Learn about social welfare, fuel allowance, living alone supports, and much more! An expert will be on hand to answer your questions. Don’t miss this valuable session.

Congratulations: to St. Fergus NS pupil Caoimhe Mulroe and her West Limerick Primary School teammates on winning the Larkin Shield recently in the Gaelic Grounds. The West team beat the city on a scoreline of 4-02 to 2-04.  Well done to all involved.

Glin Baby & Toddler Group is back: Join the group every Friday from 10am to 11:45am at Ceol Corbrai Hall for a wonderful morning of fun and friendship. For just a family contribution of €3, enjoy tea and coffee for the grown-ups and treats for the little ones too!

Dancing with Annmarie: Shake off those Monday blues with a dance class at 10 am on Mondays in Cloverfield.

Chair Exercise to Music: Stay active and have fun, join this class right after AnnMaries dancing. Attend one or both sessions in Cloverfield from 11am.

Singing: Sing into the Holidays with Bernie at 11:30 am in the Library every Tuesday. Get in the festive spirit!

Movers Exercise Programme with Darragh at 2:15 pm every Tuesday in Ceol Corbrai. Book your spot at 089 6297682.

Yoga in Cloverfield: Join Monika every Monday at 7 pm for an evening of relaxation and rejuvenation. Book your place at 086 8851913.

Congratulations: to Kate Moloney, 6th class pupil in St. Fergus National School, who came 3rd in a recent Credit Union Art Competition.  Well done Kate.

Team Hope: On behalf of Team Hope can we say how grateful we are to the pupils, parents, teachers and staff of Glin and Ballyguiltenane and indeed all surrounding schools for donating full to the brim gift packed shoeboxes again this year.  Your kindness to these poor children is immense.  A big thank you to friends and parishioners and members of Glin ICA who continue to support this worthy cause each year.  366 boxes left Cloverfield this week.

Old Fair Day returns on the first Saturday in December (7th), bringing fun, entertainment, and nostalgia as the village revives traditional animal trading. The streets and square will be filled with vendors offering various goods, including Christmas items. Vendors must provide their own tables and coverings.

Congratulations to former GB player Tom Healy on making his debut with Kerry FC. We wish Tom every success with his soccer career going forward. It’s great to see players making their way to the top!
