Coffee Morning: Kathleen and Joan Sheehy are hosting a coffee morning in Barretts Bar in Glin today, Sunday 15th March at 11:30am for Deel Sighthound Rescue. This registered charity is all about helping injured and unwanted animals and we have huge soaring vet bills continuously – your support would mean the world to us. Loads of delicious homemade baked goods and refreshments to eat or take away.

St Fergus National School: HUGE Congratulations to St Fergus National School on reaching the National Finals of the Credit Union Schools Quiz 2026! This is a fantastic achievement for the pupils, Jared Carbonel, Emily Dalton, Niall Mulroe and Sadhbh Normile, their teachers, principal and the entire school community. Their hard work, knowledge and teamwork have truly paid off.

Ballyguiltenane N.S. 150th Anniversary Meeting: An open meeting will be held on Monday 23rd March at 8.00pm to plan the celebrations for Ballyguiltenane National School’s 150th Anniversary. Men’s Chair Exercise Class
The first Men’s Chair Exercise Class with Annmarie Brosnahan, held last Thursday morning at Glin Homes, was a great success. Many thanks to everyone who attended and to Annmarie for leading the session. The class continues every Thursday morning at 9.30am. Cost €5 per class and suitable for all levels of mobility. Cards Every Wednesday
Cards take place every Wednesday morning at Glin Homes and always attract a great crowd. Tea, coffee and plenty of laughter are guaranteed. New players are always welcome – the more the merrier. Eircode: V94 K5D5.
Fit Face Yoga
Glin Homes are delighted to host Fit Face Yoga with Maggie, running from 2–3pm every Wednesday for a six-week block from March 18th to April 22nd in the Day Centre. Classes cost €5. For further information contact Maggie on 089 249 0733.

Smart Phone, Ukulele Classes & Art Classes: Smart Phone classes continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6–8pm and have proven very popular, with participants gaining great benefit from this free service.
Ukulele classes also continue on Friday mornings at 9.30am. Well done to all the wonderful ladies who have made fantastic progress each week. Art Classes also take place every Wednesday from 5pm and everyone is welcome to come along. Glin Homes would like to sincerely thank the team at the Abbeyfeale Further Education Centre and Limerick & Clare ETB for providing and supporting these classes. The opportunity to learn locally is greatly appreciated.
