Mass Cards: Signed Mass Cards for the deceased are available at Glin Church.  Please enquire from our Sacristan Michael after any of the Masses.

St Fergus NS Clothing Collection Appeal: St Fergus National School have organised a clothing collection for Monday 22nd April. Glin GAA are kindly facilitating their collection by allowing bags of clothes to be dropped off at the GAA Clubhouse from 9:30am to 3:30pm on the following dates:  the final date to drop off bags is Wednesday next the 17th April. Thanking you in advance for your support.

Ballyguiltenane National School: We are currently accepting enrolment for the coming academic year 2024-2025. Please contact the school office on 068-34545 or by mailing office@ballyguiltenanens.ie. The Enrolment Form is also available to download from our school’s website www.ballyguiltenanens.ie

St. Fergus National School:  Enrolment Application Forms are now available for the school year 2024/2025.  For further details telephone the school office on 068-34344 or email: office@stfergusns.ie

St. Fergus National School:  held their Church Gate Collection on the Easter Weekend.  Thank you to everyone who contributed so generously to this collection – €832.05 was raised.  Míle Buíochas. 

Mark Fleming Memorial Charity, Cars and Coffee Meet:  A cars and coffee meet will take place at the Ferry Car park, Tarbert on Sunday April 21st. EVERYONE is welcome to the event and there will be ample parking for spectators, with Tarbert Power Station allowing the use of their car park.  All proceeds of this event will be for the SADS department in The Mater Hospital.

Glin Church: Painting continues at the church and for the next number of weeks Wednesday and Friday Masses will be said in Cloverfield Day Care Centre at 10am for the duration of the painting.  All welcome to attend.

Glin BNG: will be holding their annual Church Gate Collection next Sunday 21st April.  All support is greatly appreciated to help with the running of the underage club.

Cloverfield Glin Monday Morning Club: Cloverfield Glin are delighted to invite you to join us at our Monday Morning Club starting Monday 15/4/2024. This week we have a gentle dance-based movement class from 10am-11am with Annmarie (087 720 6449). Suits all mobility levels. You can do this standing or as a chair-based activity.  Also this week, from 11am-12pm we have Bingo with Mary & Susan (087 274 7044). You are welcome to come to one or both sessions and we invite you along to see if this is for you.  All are welcome at Cloverfield.

Cloverfield Glin Singing Night with Supper Mon 22/4/24 Cloverfield, Glin, welcome back Barrett’s Singing Night with supper at Cloverfield Glin Daycare Centre (V94 K5D5) starting 8pm sharp on MONDAY 22/4/2024. We look forward to seeing the regular singers as well as some new faces for another enjoyable evening hosted by John and Maureen Barrett. All are welcome at Cloverfield.

Congratulations: to Anne Horan who has been named as the new vice president of the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO). Anne has been a member of the INTO since she began teaching in 1980 and has worked at all levels of the union from staff representative to member of the benefits fund committee to a full member of the central executive committee. Congratulations on your new role.

Activity at Glin Library:  Craft Group. meets *fortnightly* (1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 10.30am. Next session April 17th. Open to all ages and abilities. Class is Free. Community Singing Group: meets every Tuesday from 11.30am. All welcome. Contribution box in place. Facilitated by Bernie Hayes, Askeaton/Ballysteen. The Book Group. meets monthly on the last Wednesday & Thursday of the month April 24th & 25th. All welcome. Class is Free. All events take place in Glin Library & everyone is welcome. A special word of ‘Thanks’ to our Librarian Deirdre who has a welcome for everyone & has encouraged all these events.

The Ace of Hearts: Cloverfield Wednesday Mens Social Group. Tea, coffee, chat, newspapers and a game of cards.10:30am on Wednesday mornings. All welcome.

Tarbert Darkness into Light: Don’t forget registration for Tarbert Darkness into Light Tarbert Co. Kerry is now open and you can sign up online at https://www.darknessintolight.ie/ Local registrations will take place closer to walk date, further details at a later date. Please remember to re-use your old Darkness Into Light t-shirts as they don’t change from year to year. Early bird registration closes soon so register now to avail of reduced pricing.

Glin GAA Parish League: takes place on Sunday at Glin GAA pitch. 

Glin Baby and Toddler Group opens every Friday during school term from 10am in Ceol Corbrai Hall. Family contribution €3. We look forward to seeing everyone.

Glin Tidy Towns: And it’s a wrap for another year!  Thank you to all who turned up on Good Friday to help clean up our highways and byways. Special thanks to Glin Men’s Shed. Please be a good citizen and don’t litter. Our weekly Saturday morning clean ups still take place, meeting outside Glin Library at 11am. All welcome.

Car Boot Sale – Your Help Is Needed: An Official CAR BOOT SALE fundraiser takes place for Milford Care Centre on 21 April in Newcastle West. All proceeds are going to Milford Care Centre. Items wanted please: household items to sell on the day for example; unwanted decor items, curtains, rugs, small furniture items etc basically anything people don’t want that can be sold for a good cause – after all, it is spring cleaning time. (PLEASE NO CLOTHES, TOYS OR BOOKS) Items you would like to donate can be dropped to MC NAMARAS SHOP, MAIN ST, GLIN on the EVENINGS OF; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Thanks in advance. Glin Knights Visitor Centre: is now open once again for the summer months. from 10am to 5pm.  Lr. Main Street Glin, next door to Glin Library. Fee to the public.

Congratulations: to Dylan Buckley and his U15 Limerick Desmond team mates. The boys were runners up in the Costa Daurada Cup 2024 in Barcelona. They lost 2-0 in the final to a very tough game against C. Jaizkibel of Spain. After playing so well in the Semi Final against Albion of America, they beat them 2-0. There’s nothing wrong with bringing home silver!! Fantastic result lads. Well done all Dylan and boys. 

Congratulations:  to Glin GAA Chairman Gerard Lyons on making the Limerick Gaelic Masters team for 2024.
